We provide tools to include or exclude restricted plans from your results
Many retailers offer plans intended for distribution and promotion via partner organisations, or with other kinds of eligibility restrictions.
Bill Hero does include and rank these kinds of restricted plans, but we do not show them in the results screens by default, and we do not include them in the summary savings calculations we present in the email and text message updates we send for each bill analysed.
This is to avoid the potential problem of showing you a headline summary savings result based on a restricted plan for which you may not be eligible.
There are many variations of restricted plans and eligibility requirements, and the eligibility criteria will often include things that Bill Hero does not know about you, like if you're a member of a particular club or membership organisation.
You can use the 'Restricted plans' filter to show or hide these kinds of plans in your Bill Hero results.
By setting this filter to 'Show', you'll see all the plans in the ranking, including restricted plans.
